Thosai Masala

1 comment:

  1. Dosa is known as dosa in Madras, and a variation called Masala Dosa was invented in South Kanara by Udipi folks. Then a thicker version is called Attu and a variation Pesarattu in Andhra. Of course, there is Ootappa in Karnataka (again an Udipi invention), and the incomparable "set dosa" of Mysore City (supposedly breakfast, but fill fill you enough to stay away from food for a couple of days). In Orissa too there is a version called "kakkara-pita," which is sort of a sweet and smaller dosa which is consumed as an afternoon snack.
